You could say that Ivan Lima Design took flight back in 1982, when Ivan was just a young boy living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was initially exposed to art by his grandmother, an artist herself, and growing up she taught him to appreciate the rich culture and creativity that surrounded him. Graffiti scattered about on city walls, murals painted on sides of buildings, and arts and crafts fairs on every corner were just some of the influences that inspired his creativity from a very early age.
Years later, Ivan went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology living in Charleston, South Carolina. Although Ivan had expressed a strong interest in psychology, he never lost touch with his artistic roots; after several years working in the mental health field, the creative itch finally got the best of him. He decided to return to his first passion, and began his endeavor in the graphic design world. It was a rekindled love, given new life, changing the way in which he now created. In 2007, Ivan founded Ivan Lima Design. He began designing independently throughout the Bay Area, and continues to forge new partnerships within the industry.
Ivan Lima Design now collaborates with others in the creative field to better the community, support social movements, and advocate for those less fortunate. ILD has partnered with other web & graphic designers, public relations consultants, community activists, and leaders in the Bay Area to take part in programs and projects that promote growth in education and the arts. SFSMILES, Oaklandish, and Project Build are just a few examples of those partnerships.
Making it a point to design from the heart no matter what kind of project comes along, Ivan Lima Design hopes to ensure that its work is making a positive contribution to society. Please enjoy what you see, and if you do, feel free to contact us.
