About This Project

No Depression is a quarterly, ad-free, long-form journal on roots music, designed by one of our good friends Marcus Amaker. Their editing team offered us the opportunity to design their very first FOOD focused publication. We jumped at the opportunity.

 

Cover art is an opportunity to establish a point of view before a reader encounters a single word of the story. This project explores the relationship between illustration, editorial design, and visual storytelling, creating artwork intended to capture attention while reflecting the publication’s character.

 

We love a good bloody. And this was right up our alley.
